- Old Vines at 1500 ft altitude, planted on red sandstone in the Citrusdal Mountain, 3 hours north of Cape Town.
Winemaking Notes
- This wine was naturally fermented for 15 days with 15% stems included.
- A small portion of Cinsault from the adjacent vineyard was blended in.

Tasting Notes
- Ripe red fruits with a touch of Fennel and “Fynbos”.
- A concentrated yet vibrant palate of Cherry and plum with good structure and a fine grippy tannin.
Ixsir Altitudes Grande Reserve Red
TASTING NOTES
The nose is remarkably precise, offering notes of ripe wild black fruits, particularly ripe blueberries. It wine has complex bouquet with hints of cedar, it’s well balanced and has some freshness. The presence of Syrah is notable.
On the palate, this wine is linear, round, and precise, showing complexity and elegance. Its style reminds us of great wines, and leaves us with a lasting impression brought by good vintages.
