The Mountain is a great example of a classic Zinfandel from this unique terroir. Well-rounded with berry flavors infused with pepper and spice, this is a complex wine with subtle toasty oak flavors. The concentrated flavors of raspberry and blackberry combine with vanilla, toasty oak, and pepper. This is a dynamic wine with smooth tannins and a spicy finish.

âThis wine is dense, complex, with aromas of black currant, black cherry, black plum, pink grapefruit, dried potpourri, cardamom on the nose. The palate is red plum, strawberry, pomegranate, mulled spice, mandarin orange, wafting into cracked black pepper, clove, bittersweet chocolate, and sweet cigar. The finish is juicy and invites you to keep drinking. Pair
with mole sauce.â
Mollie Haycock, Winemaker:
Mollie began her journey into the wine world as a young adult. Growing up in the middle of the suburbs of Northern California, she was introduced to the idea of studying wine chemistry before leaving for college. While earning a BS in Enology and Wine Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Mollie worked in the laboratory of a large winery in Paso Robles. This helped to spark her love for the scientific side of wine production. After graduating, she took a position at a winery in Carneros, CA where she worked in both the cellar and the laboratory. From there, the ever-adventurous Mollie took advantage of the opportunity to work harvests in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand and in Stellenbosch, South Africa the following years before returning to Northern California and eventually landing at Scott Harvey Wines in 2015.
ChĂąteau Siaurac, Lalande de Pomerol (2020)
The 2020 Siaurac sports a deep purple-black color and fragrant notions of spiced plums, boysenberries and chocolate-covered cherries, with hints of menthol and unsmoked cigars. The medium to full-bodied palate is laden with ripe black berry layers, framed by velvety tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long with a minty lift.

Pénélope Godefroy, Winemaker:
PĂ©nĂ©lope landed a research and development role at THE ChĂąteau Latour â one of Bordeauxâs First Growth estates â after an international wine education. She was a cellar hand for Craggy Range (New Zealand) and worked her way up to Assistant Winemaker at Tenuta Argentiera (Italy), before returning to her beloved France. At ChĂąteau Latour, she took part in the adventure of storied French estates like Northern RhĂŽneâs ChĂąteau-Grillet and Burgundyâs Domaine d’EugĂ©nie â honing her winegrowing and winemaking skills to craft iconic reds and whites.
She thought sheâd made it big then, but these days, sheâs the Head Winemaker at ChĂąteau Siaurac in Bordeauxâs Lalande-de-Pomerol â an estate vineyard in the continuity of the famous plateau of Pomerol. Itâs a new peak â especially now that she can share the best Right Bank wines for Angels to enjoy.

This delightful, crisp and refreshing wine represents Alfredoâs family winemaking tradition rooted in northern Italy. The pale straw color is derived from fermentation in 100% stainless steel tanks. Lime, delicate white flower and just a hint of lychee aromas are rounded out by fresh apple, pear and mineral notes on the palate. The finish is long and zippy, slightly chalky with lemon peel.
