Tenshen Cabernet Sauvignon — a Paso Robles, California Cabernet Sauvignon that’s consistently praised for its ripe fruit, spice depth, and balanced structure:
🍷 Tasting Notes — Tenshen Cabernet Sauvignon
Appearance:
Deep, rich ruby-garnet color in the glass, showing a youthful intensity and moderate viscosity.
Nose (Aroma):
Inviting aromatics of blackberry and black cherry are layered with dark chocolate and violet florals. You’ll also notice hints of cedar, warm spice, and subtle oak — a nod to its French oak aging — adding complexity from the start.
Palate (Taste):
Full-bodied and expressive, this Cabernet delivers juicy dark fruit flavors (black currant, plum) with savory undertones. Sweet, rounded tannins and velvety mouthfeel balance bright fruit intensity. Notes of herb, cracked pepper, and gentle tobacco weave into the palate, while French oak contributes toasty nuances and spice.
Finish:
The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering dark fruit, spice, and a hint of cocoa — a delicious expression that invites another sip.

WINEMAKER:
Winemaker Toni Stockhausen grew up in Australia’s renowned Hunter Valley, learning the art of winemaking from her father, Karl Stockhausen. Toni studied Viticulture and Enology at Charles Stuart University in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. She served as Winemaker at Tisdall Winery, Mildara Blass, and Windsor Vineyards before joining Bennett Valley Cellars. Toni’s classical style is influenced by exposure to Old World Wines and making wine in Australia and California. She works with owners Emilio and Luca Zanin to craft small lots of Estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as well as the Sonoma vineyards sourced BIN Series wines.
ABOUT:
Bennett Valley Cellars began its journey 60 years ago in the Veneto region of Italy. Young Emilio Zanin worked in his grandfather’s vineyard, learning to love the hard work necessary to make fine wine. After immigrating to the United States in 1969, Emilio and his family pursued their ambition of having their own vineyards. Bennett Valley Cellars farms 40 acres of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on Simpatico Ranch and Marina’s Vineyard, nestled in the Bennett Valley appellation in Sonoma Valley. The well-drained volcanic alluvial soils and fog-cooled climate create an ideal growing environment for producing unique wines.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2022 Bin 6410 Pinot Noir has roasted hazelnut tones on the nose, followed by aromas of blackberry, cherry, and raspberry fruit. On the palate, spice tones and tannins from the wood support the rich fruit, leading to a clean crisp finish. This medium bodied Pinot Noir pairs well with fowl, smoked meats, hard cheeses, and most any food from the backyard grill. It is suggested to drink now through 2028.
