Scielo is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Rg|Mx (Rivero Gonzalez) Winery in the Parras Valley, a small wine region in the Sierra Madre Oriental mountains of central northern Mexico.Ā
Medium-bodied, round, smooth tannins, red plum, black cherry, coffee, cocoa, mint, dried spice, leather, and French oak come from aging for 10 months in French oak barrels. Rich and round, it leads with abundance of soft tannins, red/black fruit, and luxurious oak-derived notes including coffee, tobacco, and chocolate. With this, it’s the surprisingly fresh acidity and unexpected eucalyptus and mint notes lingering on the finish that make this wine special.Ā
